In case you missed it, the 2012 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am served up some pretty compelling television during the final round.
While many hoped for a Tiger Woods charge, it was Phil Mickelson that put on a masterful display of shot making on his way to his 40th PGA Tour win, playing one flawless shot after another and sinking an enviable number of critical putts.
The final round television audience was pegged at nearly double of last year’s final round – no surprise given the pedigree on the central figures on the final day. The 37,500 available daily tickets also sold out.
As much as Phil was responsible for more than a few highlights, it was actually Corey Pavin who might have pulled off the shot of the week on the pro tours. Pavin picked up a Champions Tour victory at the Allianz Championship, hitting one unbelievable shot on the way to hoisting the trophy.
