“Grow the game.” We hear it over and over again of late in the golf industry.
The focus, of course, has been finding new golfers. But are there other avenues to get the end result?
Todd Keirstead thinks so.
The PGA of Canada member has grown a business in golf entertainment over the last number of years and in the process, made a few discoveries. One was that many of what he felt were “trick” shots are actually the challenges faced by many lapsed golfers. These are people passionate about the game but seemingly pushed from it by specific injuries or conditions that are part of their daily lives.
Keirstead wants them back in the sport they already love. He is trying to do that with “Bring Back The Game.”
He recently say down with Flagstick.com at the Ottawa-Gatineau Golf Expo to share his thoughts on the initiative and how it is growing in a big way in 2016.
