Have you had a chance to play Cabot Links in Inverness, Nova Scotia yet or is it on your bucket list?

Here's a few images we shot a couple days after it opened. Just to tease you, of course.

Not everyone is aware but the managing partner, Ben Cowan-Dewar, actually grew up just west of Kingston and was a multi-time Junior Club Champion at Camden Braes G&CC.

I haven't been able to make it down there yet, but I have been wanting to since it opened. It looks incredible, and with them opening Cabot Cliffs next year, a trip there is going to happen sooner rather than later. Looks like a pure golf experience. Got to get down there.

I got to go with my fiance in early October. Oh baby. Pretty sure I think about Cabot Links at least once a day. What a place.

They're following the Bandon Dunes model, so don't be surprised if a third course is in the works for 2017. Cliffs is spectacular.

Went to Cape Breton the summer before Cabot Links opened. Was very sad. Still got to play Highland links though. Hoping to get back this summer, and if so I'll make sure it's August so I can play Cliffs too!

Played twice in July at the tail end of a trip to PEI. Arrived at 3pm and asked Pro Shop if there was room for a single & got paired with a father and son teeing off at 3:30. Dad and son had a bit of an argument on the 7th tee when the kid had his nose in his cell phone.

The next morning played at 7am in the first tee time with three guys from New Jersey who were finishing a short 3 day trip to Cabot. One of the caddies, Angus, who had caddied for them during their trip whispered "I think they're connected' to me while walking up the 2nd fairway. Unfortunately, the Jersey boys had to catch a flight in Halifax and could only play the front nine. So I got to spend the last nine holes in solitude, enjoying the surroundings. Beautiful golf course. Can't wait for the Cliffs to open next summer.
