Thanks, the one I use the most is a Pro V1 but have also been using the Srixon z star quite a bit.  This one for me is definitely going to be in the bag.

Tested the Chrome Soft in a short game area yesterday.  SUPER soft.  This was for both chips, pitches, longer wedges, and putts.  No shortage of spin on short shots as well.

Certainly an impressive ball compared to higher priced premium balls.

Hoping to hit it some more on course today.

I have a full interview with Dave Bartels, the Senior Director of Golf Ball R&D at Callaway Golf, from the PGA Show to share soon.

I've had a second round with the ball now and it does spin a lot as Scott said but for me it's great as I can hardly ever stop a ball on the green even with a wedge and both rounds had many stopping very quickly and I'm still very happy with the Chrome Soft.

What's the durability like guys? Is a full wedge going to shred one of these bad boys?

I picked up a dozen at GT yesterday, and I signed up on GolfWRX to be a tester (haven't heard back yet). I'm very intrigued and excited to try this ball in a few weeks in Tucson. Just from chipping it around the house, it has that very old-school "balata" type sound in comparison to the Hex Black and Hex Chrome+ I compared it to, yet it still feels quite lively. Based on what Gerry said, I'm confident that I'll have a blast with it from 100 yards in, and I have little doubt the hex pattern will allow it to fly well off the driver. Where I'm really hoping it steps up is with the fairway woods, hybrids, and long irons. I had some success with the Hex Chrome in that regard with the stability of flight. Now I'm hoping for that little bit of extra spin response from the long clubs.

As far as durability I may not be a good one as I seem to loose too many balls if the course has any woods or water.  Laugh  I lost my first one on the 7th hole and the second ball finished the round and did the full 18 on my second round with the ball and after that it was still in perfect shape so right now durability is looking good.  I found the Srixons I was using would scuff up pretty good in one round and Pro V's were really good.  I'll see if I can keep this one going for another round tomorrow.

Got another full round with the ball so it's now got just over 2 1/2 rounds and is starting to look pretty scruffy.  Still very happy and today had three birdies on the back 9 and two of them from the ball stopping nice and quick for me.  Also really liking the feel off the putter although my reading of the putts was pretty bad.  I gave one of my buddies a ball to try and he didn't like it as with his first stroke he found out it didn't float so there's now a brand new Chrome Soft at the bottom of the pond.  I wasn't going to give him another one.  Laugh

No issues on this front so far but only played 9 hole short course with it - 7 par threes and two par 4's.  No visible damage or discolouration.

Hit a bunch of chips and pitches over a number of hours - again so shredding issues.

Well, I was finally able to put one in play (yay spring) and I'm impressed. Very definitely a soft feel, good stopping power, certainly wasn't losing anything in length, and it seemed to have a higher flight than my normal ball (TM Lethals). Durability was also good. I used it for the entire round (until my tee shot on 18 anyway...) and with several full wedge swings, the ball was not scuffed at all. Love the softer feel/muted sound. Bought another dozen on my way home.

This ball is absolute magic off the irons. Scorching flight, even in wind. I'm telling everyone about it.
