So I'm seriously considering new irons (if I convince my wife of course). I like my pro cavities, but the PW and my GW really need to be replaced anyway. I've never gotten clubs I've been fit for, so figured I'd get irons either from Nike or Ping (2 of the 3 companies with fittings at their demo days at Dragonfly...Cobra was there with Nike but had to choose 1 and as many of my clubs are Nike I chose them). Nike fit me into 7-AW Vapor Pro Combos in S300 DG Pros 2 up. Ping is on the 17th. Assuming I'll get fit into S55s or i25s (rumours i30s might be out soon). Anybody hit them, any or all, and have thoughts? I'll withhold my own opinions atm.

PS PJ was awesome, but had to have me hit nearly 100 balls at my fitting! I played afterward and nearly tripled my cap lol. I blame him and Nike in general.

I was recently fitted for the Ping S55 with DG X100 soft stepped. Been playing with them and absolutely love them. I thought being a higher hdcp guy I would be recommended the I25 but the ping rep as well as Golftec fitting both came back with the same recommendation. I think with your game stick yo more of a players iron!!

I know Reza just picked up the Vapor pro combos (great clubs) and loves them and Xtour just got his S55's which are a seriously sharp looking club too and again is having great results with them . I don't think you could go wrong with either , whatever suits your game style best.

I traded up and picked up a set of Adams CB3 forged with Matrix graphite shafts , results are a massive improvement in my iron shots , my scores reflect that too , just tuning in the distances (picked up a few yards) and I'm good to go for the Flagstick Open win Laugh

Will, DO NOT look at the new Mizuno MP-5 irons. I repeat, DO NOT look at the new MP-5 irons. You'll thank me later for stopping you from looking at the new Mizuno MP-5 irons. These are not the sexy, drool-worthy, make you squeal like a schoolgirl Mizuno irons you're looking for.

You're welcome. Wink

Lol. They are very nice. But I'm limiting myself to clubs I actually get fit into. See how it works ????

PS if just going off looks, I'd be trying to find an old set of X Forged! Best looking irons I've ever seen!!!
