So I just got back from golf town where I got to hit a bunch of the new Nike Vapor line with the Nike Rep, JP, Hit the Pro combos first and all thought I wasn't a huge fan of the slightly thicker topline then my VR pro combo irons I very quickly forgot about that after a couple swings,  They felt great, had a nice (simulator) ball flight and distance was right on what I expected out of my 8 iron.

Then hit a bunch of drives with the Speed driver, from my past history with Nike I kind a know that this model would fit me the best. I was excited to give it a shot as it brought back the compression channel which was a feature on my all time fav Nike driver the VR.  I ended up loving the look and feel and results as well.  it felt more stable and even with my wonky winter swing produced some great results.

Did hit any thing else but got a good look a the new 3 woods,  the Pro looking the best with its smaller profile head that reminds me a lot more of the Titleist I am use to.  As for the hybrids, this is one spot I have never had good results with Nike but I do like the look of them this year and will definitely look to test them when we can finally see the ball fly in the real world!!

All and all I think Nike got a lot of good gear coming out this year and I can for sure see a few of them making their way into my bag this season.

Glad you finally got to give them a go Gropper.  The hybrids do have a very "refined" look this year.

I tried them last weekend at the GolfTown. Seemed almost identical as the Coverts to me. Not as nice looking without the Red crown though. Would have bought the Cobra in a heartbeat if I hadn't just gotten the 2.0.

It's hard to see how fast a car will drive in a showroom.   :-)

I'd politely recommend some outdoor testing.

I'd love to. Where in the upper valley can you try them without doing a fitting?

Might need to see who stocks Nike once the season starts.  You can always message P.J. Little (the rep) to find about who is an account, has demos, or may be hosting a demo day.

He is on Twitter @nikepjlittle
