This review is of the AUR Nanton golf polo (Style #AH4007), as pictured below.
I'm not normally a fan of the square-shouldered set-in sleeve because it tends to look too square and restrictive across the shoulders for my more "generous" body type, but the overall styling intrigued me.
Fit & Feel
I was very impressed by the overall fit and feel of the shirt. The fit is much more standard than modern "euro", which suits me fine (see body description above). Lots of room, without being baggy and sloppy looking. It doesn't bind at all under the arms. The fabric feel is very light, breathable, and cool. Perfect for Ottawa humidity. It also moves very well when swinging the clubs, with absolutely no restriction. The length is good to wear un-tucked casual, but still plenty long enough to tuck in and stay in. The fabric has a really nice silky feel, but it's very breathable and wicks moisture easily.
The design will appeal to a wide range of golfers who are looking for a change from the usual high-tech look of today's golf fashion. It has a retro look with the dual colour stitch pattern on the upper chest, which frames the button placket and the plain old-school hard collar nicely. This is definitely a shirt that looks good on, or off the links.
