I know we have some real tech guys here.

Thoughts on the new Apple Smartwatch and Macbook from today's keynote?

MacBook i like, not a fan of the colour thing but still nice specs and i am a fan of their laptops.  The smart watch is gross and at that price youd have to be crazy to buy it. wont see me with one!!!

Macbooks are really nice looking pieces of hardware, but their insides are the same as PCs. The distinguishing feature being the OS. I might consider getting one someday.

But as for the Apple watch. Not a chance. It is way over priced and odd!

Similarly, I would not buy an iPhone. While iPhone was an innovation when it first came out, they have made no tangible innovation in years. And where Android was behind in both hardware and software, they are now on par or ahead in both categories.

I enjoy Apple products in general but I do not like Apple's my way or no way attitude. One port only on the new Macbook is not for me. I need more than one port for my job, whether its to have wired internet / using a projector / plugging an external drive.

Apple Watch ... not convinced.

Once the watch becomes a stand alone device I'll be interested. Until then not so much.
