A trio of Canadians fared well this past weekend across some of the world's major golf tours.

Hadwin Backs Up His Win

Adam Hadwin of Abbotsford, B.C. followed up last week's victory at the Valspar Championship by contending at the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard.

Near the lead for much of the final round, a double bogey on the 15th hole cost Hadwin a higher finish but his -8 total for the week (70-70-69-71) resulted in a solo 6th place finish. He ended up three strokes off the final score of winner Marc Leishman.

With his 6th top 25 finish of the season Hadwin pushed his year-long PGA TOUR earnings (11 events) to $2,584,221. That places him 4th on the official money list.

David Hearn (Brantford, Ontario) was the only other Canadian to make the cut. He finished in a tie for 34th place. His 71 on Sunday moved him up 14 positions.

Ames Earns Top Ten

Stephen Ames used a final round 67 to push him into the top ten at the PGA TOUR Champions Tucson Conquistadores Classic in Arizona.

Ames turned in cards of 67, 71, and 67 for a -12 total to earn a share of 9th place.…
