Callaway Golf has introduced their next generation of Apex irons.
The new Apex and Apex Pro models will be available at retail (including Canada) on October 30th.
Originally launched two years ago the latest versions of the iron refine a product that already found success at tour and consumer levels.
We expect to do some testing with the new products soon but until then, here are the facts as provided by Callaway.
In the new Apex model the company says they have now been able to incorporate their “face-cup” technology into a forged iron to promote distance. The multiple-piece construction head also features progressive offset; more in the long irons and a reduced amount in the short irons.
The new Apex Pro irons are also forged and are targeted at skilled players. They have a refined tour design and look, progressive flow-weighting to optimize the centre of gravity position and a soft feel. Weighting is enhanced lower in the head in the long irons to promote a higher launched while short irons are weighted to promote a more penetrating trajectory.
The new Apex Irons (available lofts: 3-SW) and new Apex Pro Irons (available lofts: 3-AW) will be available at retail on October 30, and golfers can pre-order them starting October 16.
