A new version of the popular Callaway Golf Chrome Soft and another golf ball model, the Superhot 55, are on their way from Callaway Golf. They’ll be coming to retail early next month.
The new Chrome Soft gets an upgrade with a proprietary DualSoftFast Core™ now in use.
Callaway states that the new core helps to create higher ball speeds in this four-piece design that also includes a Tour Urethane cover.
While soft, the company still maintains,”The ball is designed with low spin off the tee for players who need spin reduction to optimize their launch conditions for longer drives.”
The new Superhot 55 appears to be a golf ball all about distance but with a low 55 compression to soften the overall feel. It incorporates the HEX Aerodynamics dimple pattern to minimize drag and accentuate lift.
We hope to test these golf balls in the near future to verify the claims.
The Chrome Soft was a big hit for the company in 2015, with multiple tour staff making use of prototype versions on tour and strong sales at retail.
Both golf balls will be available for sale on February 5th.
