There is no denying it; the Canadian dollar is in the dumps.
As a result many Canadian golfers are reconsidering their plans for trips to the United States in the Winter and Spring ahead.
Thankfully, a few destinations are paying attention.
One of them is the famed Pinehurst Resort and Country Club in North Carolina.
The resort, which features 9 courses, is offering their northern neighours a Canadian-only golf or spa package for March (6-31), 2016. The package, which normally costs (USD) $399 per person, per night, for double occupancy, is being discounted by 25% for Canadian travellers.
The deal includes one round of golf (with a surcharge for famed No. 2 course) or two 50-minute spa treatments per each night of stay, accommodations at either The Carolina, The Holy Inn, or The Manor, breakfast buffet and dinner each night, and cart fee, club storage and unlimited access to the practice facilities.
As an added bonus kids under 12 stay and eat free with a paying adult and children 17-and-under play golf for free with a paying adult.
And you need not worry about the weather. It’s normally in the 60’s all March long in the Sandhills of North Carolina.
