It was not her finest round on Sunday on Australia but Brooke Henderson was still able to maintain her recent streak of top ten finishes.
The 18 year-old had a sour start to her final round in the ALPG/LET Tour RACV Ladies Masters but tempered it a bit with a sweet finish.
The LPGA Tour winner began the final round just three strokes back of leader Ji Yai Shin after rounds of 67, 71 and 74. However, her final loop of the Pines Resort near Brisbane had a rocky beginning. Henderson recorded five bogies on holes 4 through 9 to make the turn in 41. It put her well off the pace of the leaders and simply scratching to stay near the top.
She did that successfully on the back nine, making a birdie on the 12th hole and finishing the week with an eagle 3 on the closing par five.
The resulting 75 (+2) left her with a 287 (-5) total and a share of 8th place overall. It follows two recent top ten finishes at the LPGA’s Coates Championship and the LPGA/LET co-sanctioned Australian Women’s Open.
She earned (AUS) $9,839.25 for her efforts at the RACV Ladies Masters.
Brooke is in action again next week in Singapore for the HSBC Women’s Champions.
