In the midst of a break in the schedule on the Symetra Tour where she is a member, Canada’s Augusta James is not gathering any moss.

The Golf Canada Young Pro Squad member and PING Golf staffer added another NWGA Tour victory to her resume on Wednesday, her second of the year after winning one in California in late February.

Two weeks ago she had another close call, taking second place at an event at the Deltona Golf Club in Florida but today she got the job done with a brilliant final round.

The Bath, Ontario golfers (she plays out of Loyalist G&CC)  used a bogey-free final round of 66 (-4) to surge past the field and earn the win at the Dubsdread Golf Club in Orlando, Florida. Her three-round total of 209 (73,70,66) gave her a one stroke winning margin over Jenni Jenq of California.

For the victory James earned (USD) $2500.00 and boosted her season winnings on the NWGA Tour to $6493.33 in just five starts.  She has four top-five finishes and her only finish outside that mark was a tie for 12th.

She also tied for 8th in January at the Symetra Tour’s IOA Championship in Beaumont, California.

The Symetra Tour resumes play on April 8th with the Florida’s Natural Charity Classic in Lakes Wales, Florida.

In 2015 James finished in 12th place on the Symetra Tour Volvik Race For The Card (money list).
