Austin James had another steady showing for his 34th ranked Charleston Southern University Men’s Golf Team.
The Bath, Ontario golfer and former Canadian Junior Boys champion turned in rounds of 69, 72, and 71 at the NCAA Sea Best Invitational played on February 1-2. That earned him a share of tenth place individually, the same position his team ended up in.
“Once again Austin James was really steady,” commented CSU Director of Golf Mike Wilson after the team’s opening event of the 2016 season.
For the 54 holes James recorded 11 birdies over the Dye’s Valley Course at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra, Florida.
It was the fourth top ten finish in the 2015/2016 season for Austin who has not finished outside of the top 20 individually in six tournaments during this, his Junior year with the Buccaneers.
His Charleston Southern team returns to action February 19th in Houston, Texas for The All American.
