Another week and, well, you know the story if you have been following the play of Brooke Henderson this year,

The 18 year-old pro from Smiths Falls is currently riding a streak of six top-ten finishes in a row on the LPGA Tour. And you can throw in a 7th from an appearance on the Ladies European Tour in the same window.

Working to make that happen again, and maybe earn her second “top 1” of her young LPGA career, Henderson is contending again this week.

After an opening 69 (-3), she added a second round 70 (-2) at the LPGA Lotte Championship presented by Hershey. It is being played at the Ko Olina course in Oahu.

Henderson had four birdies in her second round, including ones on three of the four par five holes.  Unfortunately two bogeys on the back nine kept her from being closer t the lead.

At the time she completed her round she shared 5th place overall at -5 total. At the same time Minjee Lee was leading the way at -10.

Hamilton, Ontario Alena Sharp completed the opening rounds with scores of 69 and 73 and her -2 total will advance her to the weekend.

Samantha Richdale (Kelowna, B.C.) was tied for 26th through 33 holes and inside the cut line.

Quebec golfers Maude-Aimee Leblanc and AC Tanguay both completes play at +6 and will not make the cut.
