Brooke Henderson has a chance to beat the World’s #1 golfer, Lydia Ko, but it will all come down to votes not strokes this time.

Henderson, of Smiths Fall, ON, and Ko, have both been nominated for the 2016 ESPY Awards in the “Best Female Golfer” category.

To little surprise Ko was the 2015 winner.

The pair were nominated alongside Inbee Park and Ariya Jutanugarn.

The storylines for the four players have included victories, breakout major performances, and moments that have endeared them to fans around world.

People can cast a ballot for the player of their choice at this link.

I think we can guess who many Canadians might be voting for.

The ESPY Awards will be presented on July 13th.
