Dave Henderson, the father of Brooke and Brittany Henderson confirmed to writer Adam Stanley on Wednesday that an announcement will be made on December 19th about the future of Brooke, the #1 ranked amateur in the world. Information will be made available to media that day regarding Brooke’s future golf plans.
Flagstick has uncovered evidence that Brooke will likely turn professional. The seventeen year-old and her older sister are scheduled to head to Florida shortly to begin work on their golf games. Brittany recently earned status on the Symetra Tour for 2015.
Flagstick staff have viewed an image of Brooke with a PING staff bag embroidered with both her name and the logo of the Ottawa Senators. From this, it is easy to conclude that she has signed a deal with PING, her long-time equipment of manufacturer choice, and the Ottawa Senators hockey club. Brooke and sister Brittany recently attended an Ottawa Senators game on the same evening as Brad Fritsch, another professional golfer and athlete sponsored by the Ottawa Senators.
We’ll update this story as we receive confirmations or other related information. Of course, it sounds like on December 19th the whole world will know all the facts.
The home club for both Henderson sisters, the Smiths Falls G&CC will host an Open House and reception on Sunday, December 21st.
Sources tell us that the two will head to Florida soon afterward.
