With 18 holes left to play Brooke Henderson is continuing to contend in Australia despite her worst round of the week.
The 18 year-old from Smiths Falls posted a third round 74 (+1) in the ALPG/LET Tour RACV Masters at the Royal Pines Resort while friends, family, and fans were likely asleep back in Canada. It was a pretty acceptable score considering the conditions; winds were gusting to more than 55 km/h and temperatures were hovering in the low 30’s (Celsius).
Three late bogeys were tempered by a final hole birdie to leave Brooke three strokes back of the leader, Jiyai Shin of South Korea.
Henderson sits at 7 under par (66-71-74) and has just three players ahead of her as she sits in 4th place alone.
The final round will see the Team Canada Pro Squad member play in the penultimate group with American Katie Burnett and Celine Herbin of France.
