At the campaign-ending CME Group Tour Championship, Brooke Henderson would have liked to add a $ million more reasons (the tour bonus available if she had won) to love her 2016 LPGA season, but ultimately she had to settle for slightly less.
She did close her final round of the year on Sunday with a score of 69 (-3) and a 282 total (-6) that earned her a share of 24th place at the season finale in Florida.
In wrapping up the event she completed her first full season on the LPGA Tour with quite a record. The 19 year-old recorded 15 top-ten finishes and two wins, including a major at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. That garnered her (USD) $1,724,409 in earnings, 3rd on the tour’s final money list.
To save you the trouble we’ve converted that into $2,328,383.20 Canadian…or enough to buy 291,412 40-packs of TimBits.
After her round on Sunday she provided some comments on the year.
