They’ve alternated caddying for each other before and now Brooke Henderson says she will spend an extended period of time looping for sister Brittany Henderson over the next few weeks.

Due to the the LPGA recognizing Brooke’s win as official but not her money earned prior to it, the 18 year-old pro did not earn a spot in the limited fields for the current co-sanctioned LPGA events in Asia.

Although she is currently the 17th ranked player in the world, the $71,000 she earned in the three events after her win only put her in 99th place on the LPGA Tour money list.  She needed to be in the top 62 to get into this week’s Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia event. Between unofficial and official money she did earn over $730,000 on the LPGA Tour this year.

Henderson, passionate about all things golf, has found something to fill her time though; helping older sister Brittany as she tries to become the second Henderson sister playing on the LPGA Tour.

Brooke (or at least a team member from IMG, who represents her, given the geo-location on the post) announced her intention via Twitter on Thursday.

Brittany is in the field this week at the Symetra Tour IOA Golf Classic in Longwood, Florida.

You can follow scoring at this link.

She is among 7 Canadians in the field, including fellow Eastern Ontario golfer Augusta James, currently 10th on the Volvik Race for the Card money list.

Brooke and Brittany will head to Bedford Hills, New York right after the IOA Classic.  Both are playing in the Gary Player Invitational, part of the charity event series run by the Black Knight.
