Three Canadians are off to a smooth start at the Sime Darby LPGA in Malaysia.
The trio, Maude-Aimee LeBlanc, Alena Sharp, and Brooke Henderson, all managed to get through the first round at even par or better at the limited field event.
LeBlanc led the way for the Canadians. She posted a round of two under par, 69. It was marred by a single bogey on her finishing hole. She shares 14th place, six strokes back of leader Amy Yang of South Korea.
Henderson, who has already won twice on the tour this year, is tied for 21st after round one. She posted a 71 (-1) with a scorecard that has two bogies and three birdies.
Hamilton, Ontario native Alena Sharp, the veteran among the Canadian crew, is sitting at even par. That has her in a share of 30th.
