The Canadian Golf & Country Club, a long-standing 27-hole golf course and practice facility on the west side of Ottawa, has made a key addition to their staff.
PGA of Canada Professional Chris Bernard has joined the club where he will operate a year-round Chris Bernard Golf Academy at The Canadian.
“It’s a great opportunity for me,” the soft spoken Prince Edward Island native told Flagstick about the pending move. He added in a press release issued by the club, “I’m pleased to join the team at The Canadian. Their practice facility is fantastic and I am looking forward to implementing individual, junior, and ladies programs that will really help golfers of all levels to play their best.”
Bernard, former mini-tour player and entrepreneur before returning to the golf club business several years ago, will begin teaching his winter golf school at The Canadian on November 29th.
Chris was most recently the Teaching Professional at nearby Glen Mar Golf & Country Club and prior to that was was the Director of Golf at Emerald Links Golf & Country Club.
