Several golfers from Eastern Ontario wrapped up Spring Golf Tournaments today, some faring better than others.
In Mobile, Alabama Marc-Etienne Bussieres (Gatineau) and Chris Bockstael (Ottawa) were competing on home turf for the University of South Alabama Jaguars. While their team ultimately finished t6 at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate both National Capital golfers backed on in the 3rd and final round. Bussieres (71-72-77-220) tied for 17th individually while Bockstael (79-75-77-231) tied for 69th place.
In Kiawah Island, South Carolina Tara McFadden of Thomasburg, Ontario began the 3rd and final round in a tie for 6th place today and gained one spot but the end of the day. Her tally of 74-71-74-219 helped her Elon Team to 17th spot in the final rankings of the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Classic.
And over in New Orleans, Brad Revell of Kingston was pushing his North Carolina State teammates in the Mardi Gras Intercollegiate. Revell toured the TPC of Louisiana in 69-72-74-213 but that was only enough to earn 2nd place behind Alex Ching of the University of San Diego. The NC State team also finished 3 strokes back of Ching’s team to earn 2nd place.
