Flagstick.com has extended their partnership agreement with the Professional Golfers Association of Ottawa (PGA of Ottawa).
Bauder Media Group (BMG), the Publishers of Flagstick.com, a Canadian golf website based in Ottawa, Ontario, along with Flagstick Golf Magazine and Ontario Golf News, have agreed to continue as the presenting sponsors of the Flagstick.com Players Tour. The Tour is the playing arm of the PGA of Ottawa, a Zone within the PGA of Canada that represents some 170 golf professionals.
“We’re happy to continue our affiliation with the PGA of Ottawa and the Flagstick.com Players Tour,” said Jeff Bauder, President and Group Publisher of BMG. “This is our 20th year of publishing and from the start we have done as much as possible to support the PGA of Canada members. They are a vital part of a game we all love. As an Honorary Director of the PGA of Ottawa I am proud to say that all our key staff members have some affiliation with the Zone. Our Editorial Assistant, Joe McLean, is also an Honorary Director and our Associate Publisher, Scott MacLeod, is a Candidate for Membership, working towards Class A status. I think that is pretty good indicator of our commitment to golf professionals and golf in general.”
Dan Kolar, President of the PGA of Ottawa, conveyed that they are also pleased to renew the partnership. “Our relationship with Flagstick continues to be strong. We’re very happy to be working with them again this year.”
The 2015 Flagstick.com Players Tour will formally begin with the Spring Open at Eagle Creek Golf Club. The tour culminates in September with Titleist/FootJoy PGA of Ottawa Zone Championship followed by the PING Challenge Cup where the top ranked players from the Head Professional and Assistant Professional Ranks face off in a Ryder Cup style event.
