Fritsch Continues Positive Pace at Q-School

Manotick, Ontario – raised Bard Fritsch continued to play well at the PGA Tour Q-School final qualifying on Friday.  The 34 year-old former Nationwide Tour member shot three under par, 69, and now sits at 8 under par total.  That puts him in a share on 9th place with three rounds left to play.  Will Claxton leads the field at thirteen under par.

The top 25 players and ties will earn fully exempt status on the PGA Tour for 2012.

Just back of Fritsch is another Canadian.  Adam Hadwin of Abbotsford, B.C. is 7 under par through three rounds and is in a tie for 19th spot.

Matt McQuillan of Kingston had an up and down day Friday.  After posting a disastrous 81 in round two that left him at the back of the field he came back with an even par 72 that included 6 birdies, 4 bogies, and a double bogey.  His 227 total so far has him in 168th place and well back or improving his chances to upgrade the non-exempt status he already has on the PGA Tour for 2012 by way of his 137th place finish on the 2011 money list.
