While many eyes were firmly fixed on Augusta National and the 1st round of The Masters, the 2nd round of The Championship at St.James Plantation was being played further north in North Carolina.

Among the field was Brad Fritsch of Holy Springs, North Carolina, who cut his teeth in Manotick, Ontario and Matt McQuillan of Kingston.

An opening round of 73 followed by a dissapointing 79 today will keep McQuillan out of the money. It is the first cut he has missed during this eGolf Tour season.

Fritsch will still have a chance at the title, even after a round of 75 today. Matched with his opening round of 72, his score of +3 currently has him tied for 35th place with a gaggle of players. Among those he is tied with is former PGA Tour player Grant Waite.

The tournament leader, Jeremy Pope, sits at 7 under par.

Canadian Richard Scott is currently tied for 3rd place.
