Grace St-Germain Finishes 15th In Florida

Ottawa’s Grace St-Germain is continuing to grow her list of international golf appearances.

The 16 year-old winner of the 2014 Canadian Junior Girls’ Championship finished up play at the Jr. Orange Bowl Invitational in Coral Gables, Florida on December 30th.

Rounds of 73, 78, 77, and 75 earned the Eagle Creek Golf Club member 15th place in a field of golfers from around the world.

Juwon Jeong of South Korea won the championship in a playoff.

On the boys side of the competition Tony Gil of Vaughn, Ontario finished 4th.

It should be a full year ahead for St-Germain.  She was recently named as a member of Golf Canada’s Development Team and is a contender to be once again be named the the Golfer of the Year for the Ottawa Sport Awards – a title she won last year.  The Ottawa Sports Award banquet will take place on January 28th this year.
