Flagstick Golf Magazine stopped by the GreyHawk Golf Club clubhouse in the east end of Ottawa yesterday to get a quick look at the brand new facility. Director of Golf Dany Lacombe proudly toured us through his new working home.
Set to be unveiled shortly, the sprawling facility is an impressive one. With more than 17,000 square feet and additional space provided by a patio and a terrace overlooking the golf courses, it is sure to get the full approval by members and guests alike.
The expanse of the clubhouse, which had a budget of more than $5 million, is accented by the natural tones of wood and stone. This gives it a very comfortable feel even with the immense size of the space.
The fixturing is warm and rustic, accentuating the entire clubhouse theme.
That carries through to the Black Pint Pub, sure to be a central meeting point for golfers. This low-ceiling Irish-style pub is very cozy and is enhanced by a fantastic view of both the Predator and Talon golf courses. Just steps away from the Pub, an outdoor fireplace is an attractive accent to the patio area.
In the pro shop, dark wood tones continue in the racks and fixtures with plenty of room for merchandise from ClubLink’s many preferred vendors.
The locker rooms are equally inviting with a full slate of amenities and row upon row of dark wood lockers.
Flagstick staff left very impressed with the new clubhouse. We will follow up with more details and a story in our Spring print issue.
