Brooke Henderson chose a nice way to finish up her years as a teenager. The Smiths Falls golfer, who turned 20 on September 10, completed play the day before at the INDY Women In Tech Championship Presented By Guggenheim. She completed the 54-hole event with a total score of (-12), enough to earn her a share of 5th place.
While her score left her seven shots short of winner Lexi Thompson, within her rounds of 67, 68, 69 she demonstrated the steady play she will need to finish out this season on the LPGA Tour. She is currently in 7th place on the Race to CME Globe and has compiled earnings of $1,152,424 for the year. She picked up just over $60,000 for her play this past week.
The top five finish represents her fourth one this season, including her victory at the Meijer Classic.
In twenty-one starts this season she has finished inside the top fifteen some thirteen times.
Now a four-time winner on the LPGA Tour, it’s hard to imagine that Brooke has accomplished so much as a teenager.
Many fans are excited to see what her twenties will bring. Count us among them.
