APPLE Watch With PING App

PING has launched a new app that includes the Golf Workout, an Apple Watch feature engineered to capture and track fitness data, swing tempo and on-course statistics.

The PING app also houses updates to iPING, a putting-improvement tool that attaches to a putter shaft using an iPING Cradle, and works in conjunction with iPhone. In addition, there’s a new PING trivia game created to share the brand’s rich heritage and its focus on innovations that help golfers play their best.

The iPING app is a free download from the App Store. The full Golf Workout experience is available as an in-app purchase.

Distance measuring devices continue to be at the top of the “must-have” lists for golfers.  They speed up play by providing accurate yardages and allow golfers to become familiar with how far they hit each club.

While brands like Bushnell dominate in the golf market the Leupold products, backed by a century of experience in the optics business should be considered.

We tested the Leupold GX-1i2 Rangefinder earlier this year and found it to be fast, accurate and easy to acquire targets with, even in the most trying conditions. It even has a Fog Mode!

They also use “Prism Lock” technology that take advantage of the prisms already built into the flags at many golf facilities for greater accuracy.

The packaging is perfect for gifting with a GX-1i2 rangefinder packed alongside two batteries, a caddy pouch, and a Leupold camo cap.

ECCO Biom G2 Golf Shoes

If you;re familiar with our past reviews you’ll know that we’ve found that ECCO shoes tend to be some of the most durable on the market. Cheap they are not but they’ve proven that they are worth the investment with all-around styling, performance, and knowing they’ll last more than a season if you want them to.

The BIOM G2 is a model that crosses many tastes with a hybrid look far from traditional.

Soft leather uppers match up to durable soles – all shaped over an anatomically shaped last for extra comfort.

Clicgear 3.5+ Push Cart

clicgearcartMany golfers look to the sport for the exercise of walking but lugging their golf bag?  That’s not in their plans.

A great solution is a quality push cart and the Clicgear Model 3.5+ is among the best on the market today.

The lightweight cart rolls smoothly over most surfaces, compacts down for easy storage and has plenty of accessory options.  The brake system has been improved and the storage net is almost twice as the previous model.

Optishot 2

If there is a golfer you know who can’t stand putting away their golf clubs for any reason at all, then an indoor simulator like the Optishot 2 might be the right gift for them.

Unlike video games the Optishot 2 allows the golfer to take actual swings and see the results on a screen of their choosing.  You can even compete online against other players in casual or tournament rounds.

The best part?  It’s not $40,000 like some simulators.  It checks in around (USD) $500. For around what it might cost you for a flight south it allows you to play a few holes any time you want, no matter the weather.
