Birdies on the final two holes of the tournament pushed Canada’s Brooke Henderson into a share of 3rd place at the completion of the Fubon LPGA Taiwan Championship.

The 19 year-old leapfrogged up the leaderboard at the end of the tournament, giving her a final round of 70 to go with the 69, 71, and 69 recorded in previous days. Her 278 total left her at -10 and in a share of 3rd place with Hyo Joo Kim of South Korea.

The pair were only bettered by Shanshan Feng of China (-16) and the winner, Ha Na Jang, of Korea.

It was another rainy day at Miramar Golf Country Club in Taipei, keeping low scores to a minimum.

For Henderson it was her 14th top ten finish of the season and brings her LPGA earnings for the year to (USD) $1,632,409. She earned $117,427 for her efforts in Taiwan.

Canada’s Alena Sharp closed the week with a 70 (following a 65 on Saturday) to earn a share of 41st.

The LPGA now travels to Incheon, South Korea for next week’s LPGA KEB HANA BANK Championship.
