It’s February, not the optimum time for Canadian golfers, and it showed this week for Grace St-Germain of Ottawa. She has some rust to work off before the full season ahead.

The former Canadian junior champion was competing in the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Annika Invitational in Reunion, Florida. It ended Monday, February 15. Rounds of 79, 76, and 78 left Grace 17 over par for the week and in a share of 57th place.

Uncharacteristically the National Development Team member recorded four double bogeys in the 54 holes and just five birdies.

Her National Development Squad team-mate Selena Costabile of Thornhill, Ontario had an exemplary week. The Ladies Golf Club member turned in a 216 total that included a final round 69. It earned her a share of 2nd place and even an acknowledgment from the tournament host, Annika Sorenstam, on Twitter.
