With her 2015 LPGA Tour Sponsor’s Exemptions limit now pretty much accounted for, the Symetra Tour is now filling in the playing schedule for Brooke Henderson.
On Wednesday it was announced that the Tullymore Classic had extended an invite to the 17 year-old pro from Smiths Falls, Ontario. Brooke had asked for an invitation to the event played at the Tullymore Golf Resort in Stanwood, Michigan from July 3-5, 2015.
She will join older sister Brittany, a member of the Symetra Tour, in the field. The pair finished in a tie for 2nd earlier this year at the Symetra Tour’s Florida’s Natural Charity Classic.
“She’s been all over television the last couple of weeks and shows incredible talent,” Gary Lewandowski, a PGA Golf Professional for Tullymore Resort. “She sent a letter and wants to be able to play in the same event as her sister that weekend, and we thought that would be a great idea. We think she is going to be one of the next big stars on the LPGA Tour.”
Unlike the LPGA Tour which has a limit on Sponsor’s Exemptions for non-members, players can receive unlimited exemptions on the Symetra Tour.
