Tournament Director and Flagstick Golf Magazine Publisher Jeff Bauder says they have come to an agreement with TaylorMade-adidas Golf Canada as a new presenting sponsor.
The Flagstick Open Amateur Championship is the remaining event from the previous three-event BMG Cup Series and Bauder explains that a greater focus on one event moving forward will pay dividends for all involved.
“We have a renewed vision with running this tournament as a single entity. Our plan is to funnel all our energies and resources into making this the best event possible. We’re excited to have TaylorMade-adidas Golf Canada on board to join us in that vision. As one of the leading golf club manufacturers and apparel companies in the industry, building a relationship with them starting with this event makes for a great partnership. The golfers that play in this event are some of the most passionate who play and compete; I think that is great fit with TaylorMade Golf and adidas Golf and their offerings.”
“TaylorMade is excited to partner with Flagstick and eQuinelle Golf Club to present the Flagstick Open Amateur Championship. This Championship presents the perfect opportunity to become aligned with a premier amateur event, connect with a very important Canadian golf region, and partner with our friends at Flagstick,” said Michel Normand, Director of Sales-Central & Eastern Canada, TaylorMade-adidas Golf.
The Flagstick Open Amateur Championship presented by TaylorMade-adidas Golf Canada will take place this July 16/17 at the eQuinelle Golf Club in Kemptville, Ontario. Past winners have included some of the best golfers from the Eastern Ontario region – Rob Knights, Allan McGee and Dwight Reinhart. This year’s participants can look forward to a significant TaylorMade-adidas prize table and registration gifting as part of the entry.
Entries are open to golfers in four divisions, including a Senior Division.
