Ottawa-based Thunderbird Management Services Inc. (TMSI), who operates and manages of a number of golf and sports facilities, has added another key member of the staff. They have appointed Bob Farant as their new Manager of Operations.
Farant is a long-time industry veteran. The Class A member of the PGA of Canada was most recently fulfilling the duties as Assistant General Manager and Acting General Manager at the Hylands Golf Cub in Ottawa for the last eight years.
In the past he has served served in various roles as a professional at a number of top clubs, including The Royal Ottawa Golf Club, the Toronto Golf Club, Eagle Creek Golf Club, and The Marshes.
“I couldn’t be more excited to take the next step in my career and get involved with the tremendous roster of clubs under the TMSI umbrella,” said Farant. “The mix of clubs provide golfers in the Ottawa area great opportunities all season long, and I can’t wait to help improve the experiences across the board. It’ll be a great year.”
Farant is a Director with the Ottawa Zone of the Canadian Society of Club Managers.

Farant begins immediately. He will be responsible for the coordination, functional management and lead the day-to-day operations for eQuinelle Golf Club, Amberwood Village Golf and Country Club, Thunderbird Sports Centre, Les View Moulins Golf Club, and the Superdome at Ben Franklin Park, in cooperation with the existing management teams at each facility.
