-Records Best Finish of 2015-
After a few months of not playing his best golf, Brad Fritsch seems to be rounding into form.
The 37 year-old from Manotick, Ontario closed with a final round of 68 on May 31st to share a tie for 8th at the Web.com Tour Rex Hospital Open.
Playing in Raleigh, North Carolina, just around the corner from his current home in Holly Springs, North Carolina, Fritsch recorded rounds of 69, 68, 65, and 68 for the week at TPC Wakefield Plantation. His -14 total left him three strokes of the playoff where Kyle Thompson would prevail.
The finish was Fritsch’s best of the season so far, earning him $18,125 and pushing him up to 81st on the Money List.
It was a nice spark for the medalist from the 2015 Web.com Qualifying School who has made cuts this year but failed to take advantage of weekend rounds.
“Couldn’t quite get it done today, but had exactly the start I wanted. -5 thru 10 and a chance. Best week of the year and one to build on!,” he noted on Twitter.
Prior to his finish in Raleigh Fritsch had finished no better than a tie for 41st so far in 2015.
