What’s Your Callaway? Industry Giant Rolls Out New Canadian Campaign

It’s not exactly the traditional way to get fit for a driver but it does really play at one of the great tenets of the game – have fun!

In somewhat serious times a new, light-hearted marketing campaign by Callaway Golf Canada could be just the elixir golfers need to give then a new perspective on golf.

What’s Your Callaway (www.whatsyourcallaway.ca) challenges golf fans to answer ten slightly quirky, yet telling questions to help them determine which of the new 2009 Callaway drivers (FT-9, FT-iQ, and Big Bertha Diablo) best suits them.

“Let’s face it, every golf plays the game differently and has their own unique personality – both on and off the course. What’s Your Callaway lets golfers discover how their personality can translate into performance by introducing them to the right driver for their personal style,” said Chris Walling, Callaway Golf Canada’s Director of Marketing. “After visiting WhatsYourCallaway.ca, players might be surprised at what their personality says about them and the type of golfer they are.”

As a bonus to the campaign golfers who register at the site and pre-purchase a driver can get a bonus dozen golf balls with the order confirmation.

Consumers will see a lot of this campaign, especially in the major Canadian markets like Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, and Vancouver, where there be a significant push in February and March to kick off the 2009 golf season.

Like I said, it’s not a very traditional way to fit golf clubs, but it’s a fun one and what better way to start off your golf year than with a smile?
