Despite a score 69 (-3), Brooke Henderson lost significant ground in round three of the Fubon LPGA Taiwan Championship on Saturday.
While the Smiths Falls native was adding that score to her opening 68 and 71 to reach -8 overall, Ha Na Jang of Korea took full advantage of the day to make a big push.
Jang, who was a co-leader at -6 after round two, played near perfect golf on Saturday, recording a 62 (-10) with no bogies, to take a six shot lead over Shanshan Feng of China.
Henderson now resides in a share of 4th place alongside Lee-Ann Pace of South Africa. They will need a very big final push on Sunday to gain on the leaders at the Miramar Golf Country Club.
Henderson’s fellow Canadian, Alena Sharp, made a nice recovery on Saturday. The Hamilton native gained 20 spots thanks to a 65 (-7). She shares 50th place due to her opening rounds of 78 and 76.
