The club champions from the Ottawa Valley Golf Association descended on the Greyhawk Golf Club in Cumberland, Ontario on October 2nd to compete in the annual Tournament of Champions. The ladies tackled the Predator course at the 36-hole ClubLink facility while the men settled things on the Talon course. The Carleton Golf & Yacht Club Ladies Senior Intersectional team were the winners in “A” Division of the Ottawa Valley Golf Association Senior Ladies Intersectionals sponsored by Flagstick Golf Magazine at Rivermead Golf Club. Carleton finished with 30 points, three ahead of Rivermead with Camelot in third with twenty and Arnprior fourth with seven points. The Ottawa Valley Golf Association held their annual Captain’s Scramble on Monday, September 10th at the Renfrew Golf Club. Leading the way on the day was the team from the Cedarhill Golf & Country Club.  Captained by Lee Whelley, the Cedarhill Team posted -11, the best of the thirteen teams in the field. Allen McGee’s quest to win six consecutive Ottawa Valley Golf Association Men’s A Class City & District Championships is very much alive. After shooting 69 on Monday at the Greensmere Golf & Country Club Premiere Course to share the lead with Chris McCuaig, the Dunrobin, Ontario resident broke open a four stroke lead through round two on Tuesday.
