Later this month the longest hitters on the planet will arrive in Oklahoma to try and crush a golf ball as far as humanly possible.
Contending for that World Long Drive Championship will be England’s Joe Miller who won the title in 2010.
The 6’4″, 265 mammoth hit the ball 414 yards to earn his world title. He has also recorded a drive of 560 yards at his local course.
Based on a Tweet on October 6th he is ready to compete for a second title.
In response to a fellow long driver the Callaway sponsored masher posted this image of a Flightscope capture of his swing. The radar tracking system captures the critical data of his club and golf ball.

Please note the club speed and the ball speed. 155.7 mph and 217.6 mph.
To give you some context the average male golfer has a club speed of 94 mph and a ball speed of 139 mph.
The average on the PGA TOUR? 113 mph club speed and 167 mph ball speed.
So just how fast is the club speed and ball speed Miller is creating? How about I put it into context with cars that go the equivalent speed? Thanks to a compilation of car at Autosnout.com, I can. (See below)
The scary part? Joe Miller has actually hit a golf ball faster before. 225mph during his run to the World Championship in 2010. (Equivalent to a Noble M600, if you really need to know)
