Cobra Golf is making a big push in 2016; their golf club introductions for 2016 are coming hard and fast and are getting the attention of consumers. Distinctive looks and the progressive use of technology is engaging golfers and, at minimum, piquing their interest enough to explore them further as they become available at retail.

Among the new offerings is the KING F6 driver, part of the wide range of KING F6+ and F6 products.

The lower priced of the two drivers, the F6 still features plenty of technology. How it performs remains to be seen but we’re hoping to be able to test it in the coming months (likely at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando to get a feel for outdoor results).

Among its embedded technology is a system that allows you to move the centre of gravity forward and back through the use of a dual position track with 10 and 3 gram “flip weights”.

Each setting creates a different launch and ball speed situation – lower launch and spin at the more forward locale and a higher launch with slightly more spin to the rear. The more rearward location should also stabilize the head to help the golfer who may strike the ball in a pattern that is not always centred.

“The KING F6 family was created to bring the best zonal weighting technologies to golfers of all levels,” said Tom Olsavsky, VP of Research & Development at COBRA Golf. “Through improved material innovation and research we were able to design a stronger, lighter CarbonTrac structure that creates the perfect combination of adjustable low CG and high inertia. Something that is extremely hard to do. Thanks to the R&D team at COBRA Golf, golfers will discover the best in distance, forgiveness and precision in the F6 metalwoods.”

The KING F6 Driver is available in models for both men and women.  Colour-ways for men include (Black, White, Blue and Grey) in RH/LH. Women’s offerings come in Raspberry/Silver and Silver/Ultramarine.

A variety of shaft options are available and each head is adjustable through a MyFly8 hosel that serves up eight different loft and face angles for fine tuning to suit your game.

They will be available at retail on January 15, 2016. A Black/Gecko colour model (pictured) will be available later in the spring.
