A final round score of 66 Thursday helped to dull the sting of a single hole tally of ten taken the day before for Marc-Etienne Bussieres of Gatineau, Quebec.
The young professional went six deep during the third round of the NGA Hooters Tour Bridgestone Winter Series event at the DiamondBack Golf Club just outside of Orlando today to vault him from a tie for 30th to a tie for 11th place. The finish earned him (USD) $1,726.00. His three round scores were 68-76-66.
“Woulda, could, shoulda” is not a game most golf professionals even think of but it if Bussieres had made a simple par 5 instead of the ten that marred his first hole during the second round, he would have finished in a tie for 3rd place and picked up almost $3,000 more for his work this week.
In any case, the money earned this week puts Marc-Etienne is 17th place on the tour’s Order of Merit after just three events. The tour resumes on November 30th for a tournament at the Metro West Golf Club in Orlando.
