Brad Fritsch did just about everything he could on Saturday to win the eGolf Tour Columbia Open. The 33 year-old golfer, formerly of Manotick, Ontario, closed out the final round of the tournament with a clean round of 65 that was highlighted by 7 birdies and nary a dropped shot. The round put him at 21 under par after the four rounds of play.
Unfortunately it was not enough to catch the leader, American Chris Thompson, but it did allow him to jump from a pack of four golfers tied for 2nd place after three rounds to finish in the runner-up spot all by himself. The result was a much-welcomed check for $20,118 (USD).
Fellow Canadians David Markle and Ted Brown finished in a tie for 14th position.
