An Ace With A Special Touch

George Wilton celebrates his 4th hole in one with his lucky Flagstick hat

Apparently Flagstick Golf Magazine hats are good luck.   That’s the call by former Ottawa resident George Wilton.

Wilton, a retired navy man who now lives in Nanaimo, British Columbia, was happy to report to us that he recently made his 4th career hole in one wearing “his lucky hat.”

“Just like to advise you, that the wearing of a “Flagstick” hat can be very fortuitous for an individual,” wrote Wilton in an email.

The happy occasion took place at the Pebble Course of the Cimarron Golf Complex in Cathedral City, California.  George and his wife Babs head to the retreat on the doorstep of Palm Springs each winter.

Wilton latest lucky shot came on the 138 yard, 15th hole of the Pebble Course.  He used an 8 iron for the perfect strike.

Congratulations George; we wish you much more success while wearing your favourite golf hat.
