And Then There Were Five

If you caught our story yesterday you would be aware that six Canadians were slated to start the final stage of the PGA Tour Final Qualifying Tournament.

That number is down to five after Brantford’s David Hearn had to pull out due to what is being reported as a minor back ailment.

That won’t change alot for Hearn who has already earned his 2011 PGA Tour card by finishing 21st on the 2010 Nationwide Tour Money List.  He was planning to participate simply to try and move himeslef upself up the PGa Tour pecking order so he could get access to more events early in the 2011 season.

For scoring updates for all the Q-School finalists see here.

Remember, all the players in the finals have earned Conditional Status on the Nationwide Tour for 2011.  The top 25 and ties will earn 2011 PGA Tour Cards while the next 50 behind them (or closest number) will have full status on the Nationwide Tour for 2011.

Canadians in action include (hit name to be directed to their live scorecards) Matt McQuillan, Jon Mills, Richard T. Lee, Ted Brown, and Chris Baryla.
