Augusta James Eliminated at Carnoustie

The run is over for Bath, Ontario’s Augusta James at the Ladies British Open Amateur Championship.

James, the ACC Conference Freshman of the Year for North Carolina State was eliminated Friday in the round of 16 by Laetitia Beck of Israel.  The final score was 5&4.

Beck had also ousted Canadian Jisoo Keel in the second round of matches.

In total seven Canadians played in the championship with six making it to match play.  Only James was still around when the round of 16 began.

James, 19, plays out of the Loyalist Country Club.
