Barber On To Quarter-Finals

Chris Barber was prepared to try and win his round of 16 match today at the PGA Championship of Canada, but certainly not in the way it played out.

Barber, the General Manager of The Landings Golf Course and Teaching Centre in Kingston, was awarded a win by default today in Calgary when his scheduled opponent, Jeff Buder, failed to show for his tee time.  Buder, now the Head Professional at the Point Grey Golf & Country Club in Vancouver, grew up in Arnprior, Ontario.

Chris Barber is a four-time Ottawa PGA Zone Champion and is currently the #8 ranked player in the Canadian PGA.
