Two eastern Ontario golfers could be members of the Canadian Tour by the end of the day on Friday.
Both Brad Boyle of Kingston and Andrew Jensen on Ottawa are currently in the top 30 at the Canadian Tour Qualifying School in Burlington after Thursday’s third round. The final round will be played Friday at the Crosswinds Golf & Country Club.
Boyle shot 77 in his third round to fall down the board from a tie for 11th but still sits in a share of 21st place. He is a rookie pro having played just one event as a professional.
Jensen shot 74 on Thursday and holds down a share of 29th place. He first played on the Canadian Tour as a member in 2008 and played two Canadian Tour events in 2012.
The top 15 players and ties will receive a full Canadian Tour card for 2013 while the next 15 players will earn conditional status.
Ryan Ellis of Cumberland is well back in a tie for 56th.
Jeremiah Shields of Ottawa is in 63rd.
Tyler Weworski of California is leading the tournament at -10.
