American Chan Kim has the early lead after one round of the Canadian Tour Flroida Winter Qualifying School. The 72-hole tournament began Tuesday at The Dunes Golf Club in the Tampa area.
Kim shot three under par, 69, with a round that included four birdies and just one bogey on the Arthur Hills designed course.
The American holds a slim one stroke lead over three players including Canadian Tyler Mancini (Lockport, Manitoba).
Kingston, Ontario’s Ryan Kennedy, a Indiana University of Pennsylvania graduate who plays out of the Amherstview Golf Club, shot 73 in the first round and is part of a massive pack of thirteen players played for 11th place.
On Friday the Tour will award six full cards for the 2011 Canadian Tour season with the next six players and ties receiving Non-Exempt cards.
